HONNE haben ihr mit Spannung erwartetes neues Album „Let’s Just Say The World Ended A Week From Now, What Would You Do?“ veröffentlicht – ein Album, das eine neue Ära der Musik von einer der originellsten Bands Großbritanniens feiert. HONNE sind James Hatcher und Andy Clutterbuck, ein englisches Producer- und Songwriter-Duo – HONNE kombinieren Soul mit sinnlichen Synths, um ihre Vision musikalischer Intimität auszudrücken.
„Let’s Just Say The World Ended A Week From Now, What Would You Do?“ ist HONNEs drittes Studioalbum nach den von der Kritik gefeierten LPs „Warm On A Cold Night“ (2016) und „Love Me / Love Me Not“ (2018) sowie dem im letzten Sommer veröffentlichten 14-Track-Mixtape „No Song Without You“ . Ihr Stil verändert sich mit dem Drittwerk und sie machen das, was sie wirklich wollen – ohne darauf zu achten, ob es in ein Schema F passt.

KHRUANGBIN – TIME (YOU AND I)
Khruangbin just bring a great vibe to any occasion. They’re the first band I put on if we’re having a little party with friends. They’re the first band we put on when we get back on the tour bus after a show. Their music creates an atmosphere that I love, so any song by them could have been in this list.
REUBEN JAMES – MY LINE
Reuben is one of the most talented people we’ve ever met. He’s a jazz piano prodigy and lives in London. We’ve worked with him on quite a few of our songs. And this song demonstrates why – he brings all the feels to everything he does.
LEON BRIDGES – MOTORBIKE
I’m honestly not sure what it is about this song that made me fall in love with it so much. But the melody and lyrics in the chorus, alongside the production, immediately felt very special to me. After the first time hearing it I listened to it about 20 times back to back.
SAULT – MASTERPIECE
The production on this track is amazing. It’s so raw, natural and old sounding. Particularly the vocals. All the stacked vocals are so satisfying. It’s a real good one.
BON IVER – RE:STACKS
Quite simply, one of the of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard or ever will hear. Any time I hear a song from ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’ it reminds me of so many good times waking up on holidays in Europe, feeling excited travelling around the world on tour, or being cosy at home. All good associations. Definitely one of my favourite songs and albums of all time.
FRANK OCEAN – NIGHTS
Blonde is another one of our favourite albums of all time. And this track in particular has some of the most innovative and creative production I’ve come across. I love the shifting guitar parts. And I particularly love the sudden shift in feel at 3:29. Very special track.
SOLANGE – CRANES IN THE SKY
There were a couple of weeks on tour in the US and Canada when every festival we played Solange was playing too, headlining in the evening on the same stage we played on earlier in the evening. Her set is really mesmerising and this song in particular was so beautiful.
KIEFER – SOCIALLY AWKWARD
Put this on whilst you’re working and try not to be productive. It’s impossible. When I’m trying to get stuff done I find it easier to concentrate when there’s no words, so this is a great track for that, along with all of Kiefer’s albums.
